Custom Heavy Duty Basket w/ Magnet Post

Our client approached us with a multi-pronged problem.

They were separating caustic fluids and sludges with metal chips; they needed a basket that could solve the following problems:

1. Thicker materials and heavier handle for removal by crane.
2. Mesh that would allow flow but not lose the chips.
3. A way to collect metal chips in the sludge, which the client was throwing away (losing money).

Here's what we did:

With the dimensions supplied from the client, we designed a basket that addressed all of their concerns. Heavier gauge perf and wire mesh for longer lasting installation and higher pressure applications. A reinforced handle for easier removal. We added a removable brass rod that screws into the bottom of the basket. Twelve neodymium are slotted in the post, capturing ferrous  shavings and chips.
